Hello everyone! How Unique Japan here again! This time, I would love to introduce one of the most unique towns in Tokyo! It is Shimokitasawa town.
The feature of Shimokita town
The town would excite any visitors with chaotic sight. That means the town has many differences. Retro things, New things, they are really mixed together like a culture melting pot.
Yes. It is like walking and treasure hunting. For example, there are so many used clothes shops. If you are interested in them, this town is really for you.
Some unique shops would also drive anybody down to feel they are really in the toy box. Please take a look at these shops under!
“One examples of Unique shop”
It is hard to recognize from pictures. But that shop sells retro toys too that middle aged guys might have played with. For example, “Mutant Turtles”.
Do you feel perplexed by watching these photos? Next shop I’m going to show is definitely more chaotic!
As you look, that shop has many kinds of goods. I couldn’t categorize as a clothes shop or toy shop, because it has both.
Under the shop is named “Village Vanguarde”.
Small narrow paths are confusingly conjunct. And each one would lead you to any different section. For example, unique clothes, books, Japanese cartoons (Manga), fluffy dolls, bags, ANYTHING!
It was a really perplexed shop! That is surely interesting experience, however, a little tough to walk through. So, the next pictures I’m going show you are about Japanese Pub in the town, every visitor could enjoy and well rest.
“Pubs under the train rail”
The photos under are about the unique pubs. Why unique? Because they are surprisingly under the train rails! Which means, they are really close from the station. BTW, would you think that this area is noisy? Please do not worry. This area has very good soundproof walls. We can enjoy our conversation without the sound trains passed by. That is why there are pubs, restaurants, even “Starbucks”.
I stopped at the pub “Bistro for public” as my last spot for this journey. All stuffs were kind, and I enjoyed the light alcohol.
It was AMAZING!
